Volunteers

Since its inception, volunteers have been the lifeblood of the Harvard Historical Aviation Society, committing thousands of hours of dedicated service to help the museum’s concept become a reality.

The museum’s volunteer force is composed of former members of the Royal Canadian Air Force, pilots, government workers and people who share a passion for exploring, preserving, and sharing local history. Volunteers are critical to the museum’s mission to preserve and promote the history of the Penhold Military Base, the Bowden Military Base and the Red Deer Airport while educating, entertaining, and inspiring.
