Our Story

The Harvard Historical Aviation Society started out as an idea tossed around between two friends, Jodi Smith and Gary Hillman, after a trip to the Nanton Museum. The two decided that there was a great deal of history associated with CFB Penhold and little of that information was being passed on to younger generations. Very few people who live in Springbrook actually know how historically significant this hamlet is.

Over the course of a year a board of volunteers was formed with the intent to build a museum in Springbrook and bring the history of military training in this area to both young and old with an emphasis on making it fun for the whole family.
